If you're struggling to get your Android device out of airplane mode, you're not the only one -- while the issue isn't widespread, a minority of users have experienced the problem at different points during Android's development and in relation to a variety of phone and tablet models. These variations in the version of Android and the hardware involved can make finding a fix tricky, but there are troubleshooting steps you can attempt to resolve the issue.

Third-party Apps
There are several third-party apps available on the Google Play Store that bring extra features to airplane mode or make it more convenient to switch on and off. If you have one such application installed, remove it from your device to see if this resolves the issue. Tap the 'Settings' option on the All Apps screen, then choose 'Apps.' Find the app in question, tap on it and choose 'Uninstall.' Tap 'OK' to confirm.
Reboot Device
Resetting your Android device clears its memory and shuts down all open apps. If any software bugs or temporary data interfere with the airplane mode function then this process should be enough to flush them from the system. Turn your device off and then on again in the normal way. If your device has a removable battery, taking this out for several seconds can sometimes offer a more complete reboot.
Factory Reset
If the airplane mode problem persists a factory reset may be required. This clears out the content and apps from your device and returns it to its original state. Tap the 'Settings' option on the All Apps screen, then choose 'Backup & Reset.' Select 'Factory Data Reset,' read the information and then tap 'Reset Phone' to start the process.
Update Android
It's possible that you're experiencing a bug specifically related to the way Android runs on your make and model of device. If the software developers and hardware manufacturers are aware of this, a fix will appear in the next Android update. If the airplane mode problem is intermittent, select the 'Settings' app from the All Apps screen then choose 'About Phone' and 'System Updates.' Tap 'Check Now' to make sure you're running the most recent version of Android. If you are unable to get out of airplane mode at all, contact your device manufacturer or Google's support team directly for advice -- you may be able to download a patch over the Web and transfer it via USB.
Network Issue
Iphone Stuck In Airplane Mode
If Android is having problems connecting to a cellular network -- when you're traveling abroad, for example -- this can interfere with the functionality of airplane mode. If possible, verify that a data connection is available and that your phone is compatible with the type of network that you're trying to connect to. The device manufacturer or your network provider may be able to offer further assistance.

How to disable windows installer. Hello Carolyn,
Thank you for your response.
I appreciate your time.
I would suggest you to follow these steps and check.
a. Restart your phone and make sure that your phone is not in Flight (Airplane) mode.
b. Check the signal strength on the phone screen, and move to an area with better reception. If you continuously experience low signal strength in a certain area, the mobile network coverage may be insufficient there. With Netradar you can check mobile operator coverage maps. The maps are available at www.netradar.org.
c. Change network selection mode to automatic. Select Settings > Network & wireless > Mobile & SIM > Sim settings. Ensure that Network selection is set for automatic.
d. Remove any accessory covers or shells from the phone temporarily to check if they affect the signal strength.
e. Check that your SIM card is fully inserted. If possible, try your SIM card in another phone and/or try another SIM card with your phone.
Note: Do not use SIM cards that have been modified to fit the SIM slot. If a regular SIM card has been cut to a smaller SIM format you will have to contact your operator to order a replacement SIM.
